Maryland Center for History and Culture seeks Tory Burch Claire McCardell Fashion Fellow

The Maryland Center for History and Culture is excited to announce the Tory Burch Claire McCardell Fashion Fellowship. This fellowship, beginning in 2022, will advance professionals in the museum field by giving them the opportunity to help create a fashion exhibition in the Claire McCardell Gallery at the Maryland Center for History and Culture to open in fall of the same year.

Maryland Center for History and Culture seeks Oral History Intern

The H. Furlong Baldwin Library at the Maryland Center for History and Culture (MCHC) is offering a 15-week, paid oral history internship. The internship can be completed either remotely or in a hybrid format. The intern will gain a thorough understanding of the oral history life cycle, along with experience using the archival management system ArchivesSpace and digital asset management system (DAMS) ResourceSpace. The MCHC is a recent beneficiary of the Recordings at Risk grant, through which over 300 oral history tapes are being digitized and preserved.

Program Associate, International - Mid Atlantic Arts

Mid Atlantic Arts seeks a full-time Program Associate who will support our international portfolio: USArtists International, the largest grantmaking program in the United States supporting performing artists at their engagements abroad; and Performing Arts Global Exchange, a program that brings international artists to the United States to perform at nonprofit presenting organizations nationwide with grant support.

Teaching Artists - The Lyric Baltimore

The Lyric Baltimore’s Education team is searching for innovative, excited, and dedicated artists to provide exceptional arts programming for our Horizons Theater Program. These workshops provide mostly middle school students with training in theater and creative writing. Our goal is to support student’s imagination and creative agency. Using fun, engaging exercises, students learn the necessary skills to present theatrical performances to their family and friends. These weekly workshops culminate in student’s performing their original writing. Each workshop site performs two shows—a holiday performance in December and a full-length production in spring.

Executive Director - Maryland State Arts Council

The Maryland Department of Commerce is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Executive Director of the Maryland States Art Council (MSAC), within the Division of Marketing, Tourism and the Arts. This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

Visual Arts Director - Creative Alliance

The Visual Arts Director is a key member of Creative Alliance’s leadership team, strategic programmer, and is responsible for supporting regional artists and art enthusiasts in our community. The Visual Arts Director is responsible for setting vision and strategy for their four main program areas and collaborating across teams. They are responsible for managing program logistics, contractors, and a budget of approximately $25,000-$30,000 for their department. The Director curates two gallery spaces hosting up to 15 shows per year. The Amalie Rothschild Gallery is a space that hosts exhibits through an open call application process which the Director oversees. The Director recruits, supports, and manages Creative Alliance’s artists in residence program which hosts 8 resident artists each year. The Director leads Creative Alliance’s film program. The Director also coordinates Creative Alliance’s multi-disciplinary workshops program which are facilitated by community artists. Annually, Creative Alliance hosts more than 30 free and fee-based workshops serving 300 participants.

Internships

MAP offers internships for upper level college students, graduate students and recent graduates. Fall, Spring and Summer Internships available. MAP hours: 11 am-4 pm, Tuesday-Saturday.

Interns are responsible for assisting MAP in a variety of ways, ranging from programming to administration, with opportunities for special projects depending on skills and professional interest. Intern duties include: performing research; assisting with gallery preparation and installation; photo/video documentation, coordinating events, gallery sitting, social media and community outreach.

Rayn Fall Dance is seeking one or multiple dance teachers for the following classes: Pre-Dance (ages 5-7), 9:30a-10:30a; Creative Movement (ages 3-5), 10:30a-11:15a; Little Movers (age 2), 11:15a-11:45a.

Enoch Pratt Free Library seeks Events Planner

The Pratt Library is looking for an energetic and dynamic Events Planner to join the Institutional Advancement Team.

The Events Planner is responsible for office management as well as the planning and implementation of all Donor Recognition Events and Major Donor Cultivation Events. This position will also be involved in gift processing and providing support to the development office by coordinating trustee development based meetings.

The incumbent is an integral part of the development team and is supervised by the Individual and Corporate Giving Manager.
