AUDITIONS FOR FRANKENSTEIN:
Cohesion Theatre Company is holding open auditions for the first production of our 2019 Season: Frankenstein, adapted by Robert Kauzlaric, based on the novel by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, and directed by Melissa LaMartina. Auditions will be held on December 4th and 5th with callbacks scheduled for December 11th. Actors of all ages, ethnicities, and genders are encouraged to attend, as Cohesion values diversity of casting for all our projects. Prepare:
Two Contrasting Monologues, no more than three minutes total.

Typical Main Stage Productions receive 11 performances over three weeks.

Rehearsals start in Early January and typically run Monday – Thursday evenings, with some Saturday times as well. There will also be a Puppetry Workshop for the cast during the rehearsal period.
When an unexpected death shatters her family, Victoria retreats into the darkest recesses of her psyche in search of a way forward. To find meaning in this impossible loss, she brings a terrible creation to life – one whose existence threatens all hopes for the future. Haunted and hunted at every turn, Victoria must endure a nightmare journey of the soul in a quest for survival. Grapple with the demons of grief and denial in this new adaptation of the 1818 thriller by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley.

Victoria – a brilliant student struggling with the pain and grief of recent loss
Alphonse – Vicotoria’s recently deceased father
Caroline – Victoria’s Mother
Erich – Victoria’s Lover and friend
Helena – Victoria’s closest friend at school
Justine – Victoria’s sister
William – Victoria’s brother
The Creature (a puppet operated by the ensemble)
Other roles, as needed, are played by the ensemble: priests, professors, students, court officials, townsfolk, wedding guests, etc.
