CCM Marketing Coordinator
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for promoting Children’s Chorus of Maryland throughout the Baltimore region and marketing the organization’s music classes and programs. In addition, the Marketing Coordinator represents the organization at community, special events and concerts. This is a part-time fifteen to twenty hour a week position located in Towson. Some weekend and evening work required throughout the year.
Specific responsibilities include: direct mail, internet marketing/advertising, print advertising, event management, public relations, social media, email marketing campaigns, flyer and brochure development and production, and list maintenance, The coordinator is responsible for all marketing communications and planning, managing the marketing budget, and the development of word of mouth and recruitment initiatives. The marketing coordinator is charged with initiating collaborative partnerships with community organizations, schools and businesses, and may serve as a community relations representative at business and public events. The position includes sales contact with prospective student’s families (parents), conducting open house events, and phone and in-person follow-up. Responsibilities also include website content updates and changes – in collaboration with the organization’s webmaster.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s Degree. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Mail Chimp. Graphic art skills to produce print and online advertising, flyers, brochures and other collateral materials. Social media experience – Facebook and Google+. Experience writing, editing and producing promotional content, flyers and press releases. Knowledge of internet, direct mail and e-mail marketing concepts. Experience managing a budget and producing a yearly marketing plan. Ability to analyze marketing data and year to year comparisons using Excel.
