Young Audiences of Maryland is in the process of recruiting and seeking out potential Roster Artist applicants for our next round of auditions, taking place in the summer and fall of 2016.

To become a Young Audiences artist:
Attend an Artist Info Session. These engaging, informational opportunities are not required in order to apply, but all artists who attend an Info Session will be given priority when applications are reviewed. RSVP to your preferred session here.
- Option 1: March 3, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Option 2: March 16, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Submit a Young Audiences Artist Application. Complete and submit the Young Audiences Artist Application electronically by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. The application will open on March 1, 2016. and the link will be sent out at that time.
Complete a live audition and observation. If you are asked to audition, your program will be scheduled at a school or summer school site in July, August, or September 2016. Artists/ensembles are not compensated for an audition. Residency evaluations will also take place during this audition period. The audience during an audition and observation will consist of students, teachers, and Young Audiences' Program and Education Innovation staff members as well as members of Young Audiences’ Program Committee. You MUST be available for audition dates, or your application will not be considered.
Receive feedback and wait to be notified. The observers who attended your audition will then meet to decide upon a recommendation. You may or may not be asked to audition again based on this meeting. All final decisions will be announced sometime between December and January.
