URBAN ARTS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
Application Deadline: June 1st at 11:59pm
The Urban Arts Leadership Program (UALP) is a Fellowship program designed for those who are interested in building personal capacity as a means of creating better equity and social justice within the arts organization leadership in Baltimore City and the 5 surrounding counties. It is designed to specifically address the underrepresentation of historically marginalized and disenfranchised groups within management and upper level administration. Talented individuals from those groups with a record of remarkable work are encouraged to apply. After 2-3 months of personal development training, Fellows are matched and embedded within arts organizations that have solid leadership structures to work at the helm of innovative projects, often finding new solutions for problems while leveraging their own expertise during the process. The concept of the program is to positively affect the the racial imbalance that exists.
UALP is a core program of the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (GBCA). The Fellowship is ten months long and exists to create a pipeline to leadership within the creative landscape that is balanced, equitable, and speaks to inclusion.
