GBCA is excited to report an update from Glenn Ricci, 2014 Rubys grantee in performing arts, regarding his immersive theatre project The Mesmeric Revelations! of Edgar Allan Poe.
An ensemble cast, which includes Jessica Baker, Shannon Graham, Sarah Lloyd, Tanner Medding, Jenna Rossman, and Alexander Scally, is currently undergoing a 3-week intensive workshop process in ensemble training and movement direction with Michele Minnick. Michele is a freelance director, performer and teacher, specializing in somatic movement and ensemble-based approaches, including the Rasaboxes.
The workshop is being held in the new studio home of In-Flight Theater (Mara Neimanis, Artistic Director) in Clipper Mill. Glenn gives thanks to Mara, who “was very kind to open up her beautiful new studio to us.”
Project co-director, Susan Stroupe, has also been attending the workshop and using it to gain insight into the characters and dramatic elements of the show.
You can follow the show's progress from their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/mesmericrevelations
Good luck Glenn! We are excited to see the next steps in the production.
