Last Thursday, the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (GBCA) launched Culture Fly, www.CultureFly.org, the region’s most comprehensive event calendar that has replaced BaltimoreFunGuide.com. Serving as a hub for all things arts and culture, the new site is a resource guide and free service for audiences and organizations in the Greater Baltimore region.
Culture Fly brings our searchable calendar up-to-date technologically and helps our amazing cultural organizations and artists build audiences. It also helps event goers find what they are looking for and explore something new.
Culture Fly was built to work across all user devices, particularly mobile. Built with intuitive search and geo-location features, Culture Fly also recommends events, attractions and nearby restaurants. Users can publish and share their own events in addition to the content provided from GBCA and its affiliate partners.
For fans of the FunSavers discount and free ticket e-blast, never fear. Just watch your inbox for the new and improved version, the Culture Flyer for your weekly discounts. Not yet one of our 20,000 subscribers? You can sign up here.
The Culture Fly and GBCA’s updated website are full of special benefits for members. To learn more about using the calendar, you are invited to the July 9 GBCA Brown Bagwhere GBCA’s David London will walk through the sites many features. If you are a member, but have not yet setup your profile page on the GBCA site, please do so here. Creating an account will give you access to many exciting backend features on the site.
GBCA is grateful for the support of foundations who have made the redesign of both sites possible, including the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation, William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund, France-Merrick Foundation, T. Rowe Price Foundation, Henry and Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Foundation, and the Harry L. Gladding Foundation.
AND let us know where you will land next!
