JOB SUMMARY
Concert Ticket Agents are responsible for all aspects of customer service on concert days/evenings, including handing out will call orders, processing ticket sales and ticket exchanges, and resolving customer issues at the Ticket Office window. Ticket Agents must possess a friendly, service oriented demeanor and be willing to go above and beyond to assist BSO patrons. Concert Ticket Agents primarily work evenings, with day time shifts available on Saturday and Sunday. Weekly hours vary depending on the concert schedule, but Concert Ticket Agents are typically expected to work at least two 3-5 hour shifts per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work BSO concerts, assisting patrons at the window with ticket purchases and will call pick up.
- Assist in the operation of the Ticket Office call center during day time shifts by answering customer phone calls in a professional and efficient manner.
- Be able to process basic ticketing requests/orders, including single ticket orders, ticket exchanges, ticket donations and refunds.
- Some data entry and database maintenance, including building and updating patron accounts, entering customer comments, and entering brochure and information requests.
- Know about our products and venues in order to answer patron questions and make seating and programming recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIES
- Some ticketing, arts/amusement, or customer service experience required.
- Must possess exceptional customer service and communication skills and be able to interact with patrons in a friendly and professional manner.
- Must possess strong problem solving skills and be willing to navigate difficult customer service scenarios.
- Computer skills required.
- Knowledge of Tessitura, Ticketmaster or similar ticketing software systems a plus.
- Position requires evening and weekend availability. Availability on Sunday afternoons preferred.
- Must be willing to work at offsite venues on rare occasions (i.e. Oregon Ridge Park).
- Knowledge of classical music or the arts a plus.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Pay starting at $10 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
