The 49th Annual Baltimore Bach Marathon

The nation’s longest running Bach Marathon returns on March 16 from 1 to 6 pm.

On March 16 from 1 to 6 pm, delve into the world of J.S. Bach, as St. David’s is filled with swirling counterpoint and unfurling melodies. Now in its 49th year, the Baltimore Bach Marathon welcomes the area’s best Baroque interpreters bring to life the master’s music, this year including a performance of the the Cello Suite in C Major, the Violin Partita in D Minor, the Well-Tempered Clavier, volume 1, organists Nelda Clelland, William Wisnow, and Bert Landman, and the cantata Christ lag in Todesbanden, BWV 4.

The event is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 12:30 pm. A suggested donation of $10 per hour attended directly benefits the musicians and the music series.
