Howard County nonprofit The 3rd, in partnership with the Columbia Festival of the Arts and the Columbia Association, is excited to honor Juneteenth with a day of special events on Sunday, June 18, 2023, from 11am-7pm during the Free LakeFest Weekend. This day-long celebration will feature live music from GRAMMY winner and NEA Jazz Master Delfeayo Marsalis along with sets from JoGo Project and Deborah Bond, a Pop-up cookout from noon to 5pm with barbecue favorites (preordering encouraged), performances from the Wilde Lake High School Step Team (G4L) and B. Funk Dance Company, line dancing with Dancing Diva April, and more. The commemoration will take place at the Downtown Columbia Lakefront.
