Let your ideas flow through clay where you will build magical worlds. Students will explore illustration as a sketchbook practice along with the fundamentals of hand building techniques.

This 12-week beginner course for kids will focus on handbuilding techniques and foundations of clay as a medium. We will primarily explore slab building, slipping, scoring, coil building and pinching. Students are encouraged to ask questions and use their imaginations in the creation of their unique works. Students will focus on building magical characters and animal forms to
ultimately create a body of work. Students will explore creating illustrations on their pieces using underglazes.

* This class is for students with no prior handbuilding experience, all are welcome.
