American saxophonist, composer and author Walt Weiskopf announces a new album! The new material was recorded in Berlin during a Walt Weiskopf European Quartet (WWEQ) tour in January and February of this year. The eight-track album “Harmless Addiction” includes six original compositions by Weiskopf and is complimented by a beautiful rendition of “The Things We Did Last Summer” (composed by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne) and a swinging version of the bebop classic “Dexterity” (composed by Charlie Parker). All releases can be found on Spotify, Amazon, Qobuz, iTunes, and Google PLAY. Says Jazz Weekly about WWEQ’s second album “Worldwide” (Orenda Records, 2019), “Big toned tenor saxist Walt Weiskopf sounds like a Prestige-era John Coltrane on this hard bopping session...”
