​We’re trying something new with breakout groups. There’s one group for new people to learn verse and chorus songs, and another for returners to build on what they already know

​The workshop will have us all together for warm-ups and end games, and then we'll split into two break out groups for the middle section:

​Returners: If you've been to one of our previous workshops or have experience with musical improv.

​Beginners: If you’re new to musical improv or want to refresh your skills.

Craft Songs Instantly: Experience the thrill of making up songs as you go. You’ll practice using straightforward methods, such as knowing when to add a chorus and taking turns singing, to help guide your spontaneous song creation.

Get Hands-On Practice: We’ll focus on practical techniques and strategies to make instant songwriting fun and accessible. Whether you're new to improv or a seasoned performer, you’ll get hands-on experience and learn how to use these methods effectively.

Learn Content for All Skill Levels: This workshop is designed for everyone. From beginners to advanced players, everyone will find tailored content and challenges that make spontaneous song creation enjoyable.

Enhance Your Stage Presence: Receive practical tips and techniques on how to be comfortable in front of a group. Learn how to sparkle with authentic trust in yourself and truly own the moment.

Think of this as a creative hangout with friends, where we make songs for fun! We’re a casual community group, not a giant corporation

What is Musical Improv?

Musical improv is like a game where you and your friends make up songs right on the spot. You don’t need any prepared lyrics or music; instead, you create them as you go. It’s a mix of acting and singing, where everyone collaborates to create fun and surprising songs that fit the moment.

It might sound tricky, but with the right mindset, simple guidelines, and a bit of practice, it’s easier than it looks. Think of it like creating a first draft—using patterns like adding a chorus and taking turns helps you shape your spontaneous songs.
