UMBC seeks Associate Professor, Chair UMBC Department of Dance

The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) seeks a Department Chair who will provide innovative, socially engaged, and collaborative leadership for its Department of Dance. The anticipated start date is August 23, 2025. The chair will serve as the department’s administrative head, overseeing faculty, staff, curriculum, budget, and strategic direction. The new chair will be responsible for crafting and implementing an innovative vision that enhances the department's reputation and fosters an environment that supports the creative and scholarly work that faculty and students find meaningful and important to their overall success.

Lyric Baltimore seeks teaching artists for Horizons Theater Program.

The Lyric Baltimore’s Education team is searching for innovative, excited, and dedicated artists to provide exceptional in-school arts programming for our Horizons Theater Program. These workshops provide mostly middle school students with training in theater and creative writing. Our goal is to support students’ imagination and creative agency. Using fun, engaging exercises, students learn the necessary skills to present theatrical performances to their family and friends. These weekly workshops culminate in students performing their original writing.  Each workshop site performs two shows—a holiday performance in December and a full-length production in spring. Workshops at schools run from October to December and January to March.

Chesapeake Shakespeare Company seeks Executive Assistant (part-time)

The Executive Assistant is the chief administrative support for the Producing Executive Director and the Director of Operations and Finance. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the Board of Directors, oversees special projects, provides general office and fundraising support, and handles routine financial recordkeeping. The Executive Assistant will interact with and gain knowledge of all parts of the organization and will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our programs and policies as well as to gain a comprehensive perspective on theatre company management at a dynamic and growing organization.

Chesapeake Shakespeare Company seeks Individual Giving Manager

The Individual Giving Manager originates, plans, and manages all development activity directed at individual donors. Donor outreach and solicitation includes seasonal and program-oriented fundraising campaigns, special events, general donor communication, relationship management, and a large-scale annual donor appeal. Identifying, targeting, and cultivating new major donors while stewarding established ones through active networking and the building of personal relationships is particularly important. The Individual Giving Manager reports to the Producing Executive Director and the Director of Operations and Finance and is a key member of the development team.
