Dance & Bmore is seeking a talented and creative Mid-Level Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video, excellent technical skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role will play a crucial part in capturing and showcasing the impact of our programs, events, and performances to a wide audience.

We design a progression of programs over a life-time of creative enrichment that improve the social-emotional health of youth, families, and elders.
Job Title: Video Editor (Independent Contractor) Engaged on a project basis.
Role Description: With input from senior staff, the video editor will edit short video content (usually less than 10 minutes) depicting Dance & Bmore’s community arts programs, to be used for promotional and educational purposes, such as grant applications, presentations, training, and social media.
Role Responsibilities:
- Discuss ideas and desired outcome of each project with Dance & Bmore staff
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging videos that align with the organization's mission and objectives
- Work with media including photos, videos, and audio recordings into high-quality videos
- Collaborate closely with the marketing and communications team to develop video content strategies and concepts
- incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects as needed to enhance the visual appeal of videos
- Optimize videos for various platforms and formats, including social media, websites, and presentations
- Communicate with Dance & Bmore staff about project timeline, deadlines, and deliverables
Minimum and preferred qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience in video editing, preferably in a nonprofit or creative environment.
- Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro (experience or expertise in other video editing programs welcome)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple project and meet deadlines.
Pay Rate: Pay will be negotiated on a project-by-project basis, dependent on the project budget, but will range between $20 - $30 per hour.
