Single Carrot Theatre seeks a qualified CREW DRIVER for our upcoming production of Promenade: Baltimore! If you have a car and are interested in working on a groundbreaking theatrical project, this job is for you!

About Promenade: Baltimore

This dynamic production, a collaboration between SCT and Hungarian theatre company StereoAkt, invites its audience to board a bus that traverses the city, passing through neighborhoods both familiar and unknown. Audience members watch through the windows as actors on the street present poetic expressions of everyday life in Baltimore, complimented by a live-mixed soundscape of music, narration, and stories based on and told by neighborhood residents.

Responsibilities and Expectations

This production does not take place in a theatre but rather on the streets of Baltimore while the audience watches from a bus. As such, crew drivers for this show will play a crucial role! Crew Drivers will be responsible for transporting the actors along a specified route to specific locations where scenes take place. Actors must be in place when the bus of audience members reaches the location.

•Crew Drivers must have access to their own vehicle.

•Drivers will be reimbursed for mileage during rehearsals and shows.

•Crew Drivers may be asked to coordinate with Stage Managers via cellphone and/or radio to make sure bus is on schedule and actors are in place.

•The Crew Drivers are required to attend rehearsals starting May 23rd as well as all performances (pending availability)

The ideal candidate is someone who is interested in theatre, punctual and responsible, and comfortable working in collaborative environments.

Pay is up to a $500 honorarium (depending on availability), to be paid within two weeks of the end of the contract.

Pertinent production dates are as follows:

Start date: May 23rd (6-10pm)

Tech: May 26th-June 1st

Performances: June 2nd - June 25th Thurs. & Fri. at 6:30pm, Sat. & Sun. at 2pm and 6:30pm.

This means you will still have your weekend nights free!
