BMA Seeks AAAPI Curatorial Intern

The Arts of Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Islands (AAAPI) Department is seeking a Fall Intern to assist in various projects and tasks. The intern should expect to learn aspects of collections management, research, and archiving.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Working in TMS (The Museum System) database
Researching artwork and exhibitions
Ensure object files are updated/filed correctly

Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Object Management Database experience a plus
Excellent computer skills
Good research, writing and communications skills
Familiarity with African or Asian art preferred
Must be able to commit 10-15 hours per week
