Chesapeake Shakespeare Company Seeks Full Time Production Manager

Founded in 2002, the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company is the leading classical theater company in Maryland. With an annual budget of $2M, CSC is one of the six largest theater companies in the state. The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company is a vibrant, exciting arts organization that serves Baltimore and points surrounding with innovative mainstage seasons, a vigorous education program that serves students inthe theater and in the classroom and a substantial community engagement effort.

The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company has three homes. Their indoor performances are presented at the Chesapeake Shakespeare Theater, a 265 seat thrust stage uniquely designed for Chesapeake Shakespeare performances. Next door to the theater will be the 6,000 square foot CSC Education Center with offices, classrooms, rehearsal space and an alternative performance area. CSC’s outdoor home is located in nearby Ellicott City,Maryland. This 275 seat outdoor theater is home to CSC’’s summer performances and educational programming.

CSC seeks a Production Manager to oversee the production department for all CSC regular season productions.The Production Manager is responsible for supervising all aspects of production including hiring and supervision of all production personnel and some artistic personnel (in conjunction with the Artistic Director), working with directors and designers to ensure top quality productions, creating and maintaining production budgets.
