Each October GBCA serves as the regional coordinator for Free Night of Theatre, an initiative created and supported by Theatre Communications Group.
In 2011, a new ticketing system for Free Night was launched. Tickets were awarded through a lottery “Enter-to-Win” format at FreeNightBaltimore.com. Eight theatres in the area offered over 435 pairs of free tickets. Participating theatres were CENTERSTAGE, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, Dignity Players, Everyman Theatre, Iron Crow Theatre Company, Rep Stage, Single Carrot Theatre, and Spotlighters Theatre.
